D + T’s April wedding in Sonoma was the perfect blend of family, culture, and full-on celebration. Hosted at T’s family home, the day felt intimate and meaningful, yet completely over the top in the most joyful, maximalist way. Even though the couple currently lives in New York, their wedding brought together the warmth of California with the vibrant energy of their life on the East Coast.

The ceremony beautifully merged Persian and Western traditions. A stunning sofreh took center stage, filled with symbolic elements, heirlooms, and personal touches – paired with a few Western nods that made the moment feel uniquely theirs. And in true Sonoma fashion, the weather made an appearance: a soft, misty rain settled in right as the ceremony began. Guests gathered under umbrellas, creating a romantic, moody scene that felt straight out of a movie.

D’s fashion moments were unforgettable. Her ceremony dress was custom-made in Egypt, the result of multiple trips and countless fittings – a labor of love that paid off in every intricate detail. For the reception, she changed into a vintage Oscar de la Renta gown that brought all the glamour and drama to the dance floor.

The reception took place under a beautifully tented space that transformed the backyard into a world of its own. The ceiling was covered in cascading greenery, sparkling chandeliers, and shimmering disco balls that caught the light from every angle. It was maximalist, magical, and full of personality. Guests were treated to a candy bar full of the couple’s New York favorites – a sweet nod to the city they call home.

From the rain-kissed ceremony to the disco-lit reception, D + T’s wedding was a masterclass in blending tradition, style, and heart. A colorful, joyful celebration that felt personal, intentional, and unforgettable in every way.
